GEEC Dedication

Dr. Paula Gale, retired Professor of Soil Sciences at UT Martin, has gifted Pinecrest with a new home for Pinecrest’s education program, Gale Environmental Education Center (GEEC). This will be a space dedicated to microscopes, hides, wasps’ nests, and Doodle, the Friendly Noodle (snake). The GEEC is connected to the existing Arts and Crafts Hut, a building that has gotten lots of use and needed some care. Those wishing to attend are invited to gather in the parking lot near the Youth Room door (southeast corner) by 1:20pm to carpool and caravan to Pinecrest.
